holiday mayhem

So it is unbelievable that this semester is already at its end. The worst part about that is the rush to get out of the dorms and back home just in time to do some much needed Holiday Shopping, decorating and celebrating.
I never seem to ever catch up on that holiday mess. So as this semester is ending and we are leaving in a day or two i am still surprised that i have not bought one christmas present nor am i ready for the last minute holdiday rush in the department stores. I find myself over the past couple of years going to the stores as late as possible so im not caught up in all that crazy mayhem. I am obviously excited to go home, as i am sure everyone is. However; the fact that everyone is busy with last minute work, finals and the stresses of packing who has the time to get ready for the holidays.
Over the past few years here at college i have noticed that every year i seem to wait till the very last minute. Im admitting my flaws right now that i need to step up my game. haha so while im still at school for the next three days im going to bring out the creative side and try to put some things together for family and friends before i head home.
SO while i hope everyone learns from this simple mistake im sure this will forever happen no matter how organized a person. SO i hope that everyone relieves themselves from unnecessary stress and has a great break.
Good luck with all of the boring family parties, the crazy christmas shopping in the extremely packed shopping malls, the good and the bad food and all the other mayhem.

Have a Merry Christmas and aHappy New Year..

See you next year. <3

First Snow.

The other morning as I was laying on the couch I happened to looked outside the window when I realized the sun was glaring in my face. To my surpirse I saw little flurries that were coming down and I rushed over to see if anything had accumulated on the ground.

I was so excited for this was the first time I had seen snow all winter. Even though I absolutley hate the cold weather I love to see snow. And even though I hate trecking through that snow to get to classes or even to go anywhere I still love to see it while it sits perfectly on tree branches and especillay when its crystal white.

In honor of that first snow my roomates and I decided to put up our chirstmas decorations. I miss the days at home when December 1st. would come we would decorate the christmas tree and put all the decorations up. I love the holidays and to have to miss out on decorating and all the good stuff that goes along with christmas and the new years is sad. So I figured I would bring it up here to school.

So we put up our two little christmas trees and decorated them with lights, ornaments and even a star. Next that went up was our stockiongs, one for each for my roomates and I. Then I moved around the furniture in the living room so we could put the lights up all around and so the trees would be displayed better.

No christmas decorating can go without hot chocolate, so after everything was put up and decorated my roomates and eye made hot chocolate and put in one of our all time favorite christmas movies, Home Alone.

I don't care how old we are getting, the spirit of christmas will forever be inside of us. Also if you are away from home during the holidays there is no better way of spending them like you would at home in your place at school...

Even though the snow didn't accumulate much and only lasted for about an hour it was still pretty to see, and I know soon enough there will be alot and I will probably be cursing it on my way to class, but it is so pretty to look at far away from your warm window.

end of semester stress...

With this semester coming to an end, everyone feels the pressure to finish their papers, projects, and other work that needs to be completed before we leave. It's stressful this time of year when all of us are excited about Christmas break yet we have to do so much before we can leave. This week i have had so much work to do an yet i feel as if i have accomplished nothing.

To start off with, i thought that i had a project due on monday but it wasn't due till wednesday so i spent all night worrying about nothing. Then on Tuesday i was positive that i had a dress rehearsal for Sports broadcasting but yet again i was wrong. Wednesday was actually a good day i finished one project and got to go to the Celtics game but then once i got home from the game i forgot what Thursday had in store for me.

I feel as if at this time of year we think to much about everything we have to do and end up putting unecessary stress upon ourselves. I decided to tackle one thing at a time, at the end of the week it may not seem as if anything was accomplished but I have learned that quality is much better than quantity. So with three or four weeks left in the semester slow down the pace, because if you speed through it all you might miss something.

nothing comes easy but im realizing that if you actually look at everything you have to do and organize your thoughts things will come a little easier.

Thankful for the very best...

With Thanksgiving approaching, I figured it would be the right time to give thanks for the many things im grateful for in life...

Over the past few months, I feel as if I have gone through so much. Good and bad but I am grateful for all of the people that have been there to get me through it all. The first people I feel as if I owe everything to is my family. Without them I don't know where I would be. No matter what happened my family was there with arms wide open. I know that we don't always get along, but even through good times and bad I wouldn't want to change anything about them.

Ever person needs a friend in life, I used to think that I didn't need anyone but I was deff. wrong. Over time I have accumulated some of the greatest friends that a person could ask for. Through all of the fights, silent days, laughter, tears, good times and bad I am thankful that I have gotten to share it with the some of the most important people to me. My friends are the family that I chose, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so grateful for them they get me through everything.

Lm, Kg, Bt, Br, Tr, Jp, Nh, Cj, Js x2, Eb, Cb, Ab, Rc, Sw, and whoever i forgot you know who you are and I hope you know how much you mean to me. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and I hope someday I can do the same for every single one of you. My friends, my family, the ones that keep me on my toes I L O V E Y O U.

Thanksgiving is the one day of the year, to sit back and reflect on everything that has happened within the past year. Some of its good and there is always something that is bad. However everything that we go through whether it is good or bad makes us the people we are today. It molds us for the future and without any of it we wouldn't be strong!

I am grateful for everything and everyone that has come into my life thus far... With all the bad must come some good. Never change who you are and always remember that there is always someone there that will do good for you as you would for them...

Lastly I want to thank god for the life that he has given me and the family and friends he has blessed me with..

Happy Thanksgiving<3

Women's Rugby..

After much anticipation a women's Rugby team has finally been started here on campus. Just like the men's rugby team the women will also be considered a club. Even though rugby is only a club on campus they have received a lot of attention over the past year. The men's Rugby team has improved greatly after their long start last year. With much help from Pat Gaffney and Sean Fitzgerald, who are players on the men's team, the girls have improved greatly from the first practice. I myself had no idea how to play Rugby but with a lot of patience and help from the men's team we all got the hang of it. Right now there are about 15-20 girls that have signed up and are interested in playing. Unfortunately with everyone's erratic time schedules not everyone is able to make practices daily. There needs to be at least 15 girls on the field at one time, unless both teams decide to play with ten. There has not been any scrimmages scheduled yet and games won't be played until next semester. There is no head coach, but Doug Carty has signed on to be the women's advisor for the time being. Anyone who is interested in Rugby or wants to know more about is certainly more than welcome to join or stop by a practice and watch. Everyone is welcome whether you have experience or not... Stop by the bubble Mon-Fri 8-10
